Lovely, comfortable stay Our family booked the entire Windflower Inn for a two night stay. We had a family wedding in the area. Family members ranged from a 2 year old toddler to a 70 year old and all of us felt welcome and were very comfortable during our stay. There were two large gathering spaces for the family to congregate. There were some toys for the children. We didn't feel that we needed to worry that the children would break antiques or otherwise cause disruption because the Inn was a comfortable place for families. Our 6 and 8 year old members thoroughly enjoyed the jars of cookies and gum drops that were available and the adults enjoyed the Keurig beverages. The room and the beds were fine. They were clean and none of us had any complaints, and with a group as large as ours, that was unusual. There was a large dining room that accommodated all of us. Breakfasts were filling and tasty. Michelle and her family were very helpful. We decided that some of the family might be hungry in the evening, after the wedding, and Michelle arranged for pizzas and sodas to be delivered. We would certainly stay here again. My 8 year old granddaughter said she loved the Inn because it was "like home, only with treats!"honeybrooklin (from TripAdvisor)
COOKIES AND SNOW We decided on a holiday getaway not far from the Hudson Valley. We settled on Great Barrington because neither of us had visited there in years and we love the Berkshires. No, we do not ski, but we love good restaurants and shops and museums and especially charming inns. The Windflower has recently experienced a renaissance under new owners. It offered us a lovely room with king-size bed, spacious bathroom and comfortable public spaces. The inn was immaculate. Michelle is quite the cook and baker. There were numerous, generously filled cookie jars everywhere. Our breakfasts were delicious - from pancakes to quiche - everything was served hot and quickly. The breakfast room is bright and cheerful with a fire going and, on our visit, a snowfall to watch. The inn is beautiful in the snow. We had a a great visit at the Windflower and will visit again.Ewelch2 (from TripAdvisor)
